NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR – MERE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the resignation of Alan Mead, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Mere Town Council.

If by 29 January (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN registered electors from the Town of Mere, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place no later than 2 April, 2026.

Please note any request to hold an election MUST be delivered only to the address below.
