
Mere Information Point incorporates the Tourist Information Centre, providing a wide range of services
for visitors and residents who want information on local or countrywide attractions.
Services for residents
Assistance and support with Wiltshire Council services, including:
- housing and council tax benefit
- housing repairs
- special collections
- Wisecard enquiries
- Information on local transport – buses/trains/services
- Sharing information with local community groups
- Liaison with Mere Parish Council in support of the local community
- Access to the internet for information purposes only (no public internet access)
- Public access terminal to view council information such as planning applications
- Tickets to local events and excursions (see Tourist Information below)
Tourist information
- Leaflets on attractions, events and accommodation
- Holiday brochures and help with planning holidays in the UK
- Local and ‘Book-a-Bed-Ahead’ Accommodation service
- Help with planning travel itineraries
- A range of goods, such as Visitor Guides, postcards, stamps, brochures, books,
souvenirs and seasonal items

- Care Support: Monday 9.30am–1pm (by appointment)
- Concessionary Bus passes.
- Citizens’ Advice Bureau: Tuesday: 10.30am–4pm
- ‘Health Matters’ every Wednesday 9am-1pm
- Registrar: Thursdays by appointment only.
