Notice of Vacancy in Office of Councillor for Mere Town Council

NOTICE OF VACANCY

IN OFFICE OF TOWN COUNCILLOR FOR MERE

Due to the resignation of Louise Bennett, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Mere Town Council.

If by 13 June 2022 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors from the Town of Mere, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

Notice is hereby given that the above meeting will be held in

 

THE GROVE BUILDING, CHURCH  STREET, MERE

on

 

Wednesday, 20th April 2022 at 7.30 p.m.

(Refreshments will be served from 7.00 p.m.)

 

This is an opportunity to hear about the achievements of the Town Council and other organizations that benefit the town. Your support would be much appreciated.

  2. To approve Minutes of the 2019 Town Meeting and report on Matters

      Arising from those Minutes (minutes will be distributed at the meeting or can be obtained beforehand from the Town Clerk)

  2. To receive the unaudited Statement of the Town Council Accounts

      for the year ended 31st March 2022.

  1. To receive report from Wiltshire Councillor
  2. To receive the accounts of the Parochial Charities, together with comments

       of the trustees.
