Wednesday, 22^nd April 2026 at 6.30 p.m.

AGENDA

1. Welcome by the Chair of Mere Town Council
2. To approve as a true record the minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on Wednesday, 23^rd April 2025
3. The Chairman will give a formal report on the work of the Town Council during the last year.

Networking and involvement

• The Minutes of the 2025 Town meeting will be displayed.
• The unaudited Statement of the Town Council Accounts for the year ended 31^st March 2026 will be displayed and the Town Clerk who is also the Finance Officer will be available to answer questions.
• It is hoped that representatives from Seeds4Success, Mere Matters, Mere & District Linkscheme, Mere Carnival and the Parochial Charities will be in attendance to answer questions and explain or display their work.
• The Town Council’s project co-ordinator will be in attendance to talk about his projects.
• There will be displays about the roles and responsibilities of Wiltshire Council and Mere Town Council.
• There will be someone on hand to talk about the Public Consultation on the closure of Mere Fire Station and an overview of the Bobby Van.
• There will be displays about the recent work carried out by the Town Council, future project priorities such as refurbishment of the play equipment in the Recreation Ground, refurbishment of the MUGA, refurbishment of public toilets etc. and an opportunity for members of the public to give suggestions.
